KOTA TINGGI: The mysterious colourful clay sculptures resembling carvings of Indonesia’s ancient Borobudur Temple that were found at Tanjung Balau beach here are believed to be offerings used in a religious ritual.
Restaurant operator Norasidah Kamis, 35, said she had seen many rituals of various religions at the spot several times a year, some of which were carried out as homage to the dead or to appease the spirits.
