PETALING JAYA: Despite suffering bruises on his forehead, a swollen hand and blurry vision, Chan Woei Loon rushed to the aid of a fellow pressman.

The Sin Chew Daily crime reporter was trying to protect a photographer from a rival publication, who was being assaulted by an unruly mob of about 30 people on Sunday.
