PETALING JAYA: This year’s Hari Raya celebrations will not be the same for the loved ones of automotive journalist Nik Norul Hidayat Nik Mustafa. The 31-year-old journalist was thrown off his superbike at KM19.6 of the Elite Highway after it was grazed by an unidentified vehicle at about 12.30am yesterday.
Six hours later, family members watched as Nik Norul Hidayat died at the Putrajaya Hospital. He was laid to rest at his hometown in Kampung Tali Air, Morib, Banting yesterday evening.
