KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court has set Nov 12 to her Sisters in Islam’s (SIS) judicial review of a gazetted fatwa (edict) in Selangor declaring the group as deviating from Islam.
The Muslim women’s rights group had filed the judicial review on Oct 31, last year naming the Selangor Fatwa Committee, the Selangor Islamic Religious Council (Mais) and the state government as respondents.
