PETALING JAYA: An additional one second will be added to clocks worldwide today to adjust to the earth’s rotation, with Malaysian bodies ranging from the stock market to Islamic authorities geared up for the move.
Known as a leap second, the extra time would be added at midnight Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) or 8am local time today (Wednesday), said National Space Agency science officer Mohd Zamri Shah Mastor.
