KOTA KINABALU: Malaysian security forces were involved in a shootout with a group of suspected intruders near Pom-Pom island on the east coast of Semporna.
The shootout occurred after a team of policemen from the General Operations Force heard the sound of a pump boat near where they were stationed at about 3am Tuesday.
