Tabla event aims to beat records


Rock to the Beat: Hundreds of tabla players participating in the soft launch of the Festival of Taalam at the Penang Botanic Gardens.

GEORGE TOWN: The Penang Botanic Gardens came alive with the sound of tabla, a traditional Indian instrument, played by 185 people.

The tabla players aged between six and 75 accompanied three tabla masters to thumping tunes from the instrument for two hours during the soft launch of the Festival of Taalam (FesTaal 2015).
