Cops nab nine over human trafficking syndicate in Kedah


KUALA LUMPUR: Nine foreigners, including two Bangladeshis, have been arrested in relation to a human trafficking syndicate in Kedah.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar (pic) said the suspects - seven Myanmarese and two Bangladeshi men - were detained on Monday under the Anti-Trafficking in Persons and Anti-Smuggling of Migrants Act (ATIPSOM) 2007.
