40,000 cartons of cigs seized

SEPANG, 29 Jun -- Pegawai Penguatkuasa Kastam Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Kuala Lumpur (KLIA) Mohd Haikal Ismail menyusun sebahagian daripada 40,000 karton rokok putih bernilai RM400,000 dengan anggaran cukai RM4 juta yang dirampas Jabatan Kastam KLIA, pada sidang media di Stor Bahagian Penguatkuasaan Kompleks Kastam KLIA hari ini.Kastam KLIA merampas 40,000 karton rokok putih bernilai RM400,000 dengan anggaran cukai RM4 juta selain dadah Methamphetamine seberat 9.2 kilogram bernilai RM1.75 juta dalam beberapa serbuan sejak Mei lepas.--fotoBERNAMA (2015) HAK CIPTA TERPELIHARA

SEPANG: The Customs Department intercepted a shipment of 40,000 cartons of cigarettes which were falsely declared as plastic products here with unpaid duties amounting to more than RM4mil.

KLIA Customs director Datuk Chik Omar Chik Lim said the items, which arrived in a container from China on May 18, were declared as 928 cartons of plastic products comprising chopsticks, containers, bottles and wares worth RM109,431.
