Clean-up effort: Contractors clearing logs to allow water flow at the Kg Bambangan water intake point on Sungai Liwagu.

KOTA KINABALU: Some 80% of water supply for the 100,000 users in Ranau has been restored following furious clearing at both the clogged water intake points.

“Contractors have been removing the tonnes of uprooted trees and logs among others at the Kg. Bambangan intake point since Saturday, whereas the other point on the lower river is almost cleared,” said Ranau district officer Faimin Kamin.
