Report: Malaysia still safest upper-middle income nation


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia conti­nues to be the safest of the upper-middle income nation in the world, according to the World Justice Project’s (WJP) Rule of Law Index 2015 report.

However, Malaysia’s standing in the Open Government category in the same report, which looks at accessible and stable laws as well as the right to petition and information, declined from 42nd out of 99 countries in 2014 to 88th out of 102 countries worldwide this year.
