JOHOR BARU: The number of hypertension and hyper-cholesterol patients in Johor is now higher than the national average and the people’s lifestyle has been identified as the main culprit.
Johor Health and Environment committee chairman Datuk Ayub Rahmat said 36.4% of patients in the state suffered from hypertension compared to the national rate of 32.7% in the National Health Morbidity Survey 4 conducted in 2011.
