Raging inferno: Villagers lending a helping hand as firemen work to save their homes at Kampung Gusung settlement in Likas, Kota Kinabalu.
KOTA KINABALU: More than 150 people were made homeless when a fire destroyed some 30 houses at the Kampung Gusung settlement in Likas.
The fire started at about 8pm on Saturday and spread quickly among the mostly wooden houses built close to each other at the settlement, located near the state Fisheries Department’s research centre.
