KOTA KINABALU: A week after the notorious Muktadir brothers staged a brazen kidnapping of two Malaysians in Sandakan town, one of them is dead – shot by the Philippines police in Jolo town.
Sulu police chief Supt Abraham Orbita said Mindas Manda Muktader (pic), who grabbed the Malaysians with his brother Kadafi, was killed in a gunfight near a wet market in Jolo town on Wednesday evening after he refused to surrender to the police.
