Killer shot dead hours after crime

BUKIT MERTAJAM: A man, believed to be a member of the notorious “Siew Sam Ong” (Three Little Emperors) triad, was shot dead by police, hours after he shot and killed a man outside an entertainment outlet in Taman Mutiara here.

The 40-year-old suspect, identified as “Ah Keat” had been released from the Taiping Prison only two months ago. He fired five shots from his semi-automatic handgun at his 30-year-old victim, identified as Cheah Kwong Hoay, outside the outlet.
