PETALING JAYA: An Umno supreme council member has criticised Education Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin for being "lazy" to check on the condition of schools nationwide some of which are in a deplorable state.
Dr Puad Zarkashi, a former deputy education minister, said because Muhyiddin, also Deputy Prime Minister, did not visit schools, the officers on the ground did not bother to do so and "everything look rosy from the top."
