KUCHING: Sarawak's Opposition will not have it easy in the next election despite encouraging results from the two recent by-elections, says an academician.

Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB's) stranglehold over state politics is a huge advantage for Barisan Nasional, while DAP and PKR have not been united in projecting a ‘strong counter narrative’, said Dr Faisal Hazis, senior lecturer at the Political Studies Department of Universiti Malaysia Sarawak.
