BANGKOK: Thailand and Malaysia will increase joint border patrols to prevent the use of forested areas by suspected human traffickers after hundreds of Rohingya migrants were found hiding in the jungle in the Thai south earlier this month.
Thai News Agency (TNA) quotes Lt Gen Prakarn Cholayuth as saying that the two countries had agreed to conduct joint border patrols in more locations as part of the policies to maintain order and to crack down on human trafficking.
