KOTA BARU: Gerakan has failed in its bid to have the Kelantan PAS-led government’s Syariah amendments declared null and void.
The High Court here dismissed the party’s suit over the Syariah Criminal Code II 1993 (Amendments 2015), ruling that the plaintiff had prematurely filed the originating summons to declare the amendments as ultra vires the Federal Constitution.
