SHAH ALAM: Trendcell Sdn Bhd, which owns the Jaya Grocer supermarket, has become the first company in Malaysia to be charged under the Price Control and Anti-Profiteering Act 2011 for selling ladies’ fingers far above its profit margin.

The company is said to have sold ladies’ fingers by increasing its profit margin to RM9.70 per kilogramme from RM3.10 in January.
