KUALA LUMPUR: Organisers of the planned anti-Goods and Services Tax (GST) rally on May 1 will push ahead with the protest in Dataran Merdeka, though the gathering is expected to be deemed illegal.
Solidariti Anak Muda Malaysia (SAMM) coordinator Badrul Hisham Shahrin said organisers would not submit the 10-day notice to hold the rally as required under the Peaceful Assembly Act but hoped for police cooperation nonetheless.
