BUKIT MERTAJAM: Barisan Nasional candidate Suhaimi Sabudin has hit the campaign trail early by visiting the Pasar Tani and the wet market in Penanti here on Sunday.

He was greeted by market-goers and traders wherever he stopped by for a chat.

"The response from the public has been good.

"We are confident of getting a strong support from the voters," he said.

Suhaimi will be contesting against PKR president Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and two independent candidates for the Permatang Pauh parliamentary seat on May 7.
