KUALA LUMPUR: A circular banning the sale of cigarettes at Rest and Recreational (R&R) stops is being revoked, prompting objections from the Malaysian Council for Tobacco Control.
“To us, this is a step backwards by the MHA (Malaysian Highway Authority) as no kind of pressure should push them to make a U-turn on banning cigarette sales at R&R stops,” said council president Dr Molly Cheah.
