PETALING JAYA: Some nine years ago, the plight of financially challenged dialysis patients led two retirees to start their own dialysis centre in Kota Damansara.

Johnny Ng Poh Aun, 72, and Ng Yang Kuang, 65, founded Persatuan Dialisis Touch Petaling Jaya in 2006 after discovering that there was limited capacity in public hospitals and that many dialysis patients could not afford treatment at private centres.
