PETALING JAYA: British American Tobacco (BAT) has announced a drop in its cigarette prices to what it was before the Goods and Service Tax (GST) was introduced on April 1, effective Friday.
"Our earlier price increase of RM0.50 for all our cigarette brand was in line with the GST implementation," said managing director Stefano Clini, adding they were doing this to remain competitive given the market situation.
