Driver dies after bus ploughs into field

MIRI: A long-distance interdivisional express bus went out of control along the Pan Borneo highway while travelling from Miri City to Bintulu town on Thursday morning, overshooting the highway before plunging into a field.

The driver died at the scene after he was trapped when the bus landed on its side.        Eight passengers, five men and three women, sustained injuries in the 9.15 am accident and have been sent to the Miri Hospital.
