KUALA LUMPUR: Altars were decked with flowers, fruits, gold, rice, money and finery in the homes of many Malayalee families as they ushered in Vishu, or the Malayalee New Year.
Sales executive R. Nithya, 31, said the early morning ritual for Vishu, called Vishukkani, was the most important ceremony yesterday.
