MALACCA: Viral encephalitis has been identified to be the main cause of death of a Year Five pupil of SRJK (C) Pay Teck here, said State Education, Science and Technology and Innovation committee chairman Datuk Wira Md Yunos Husin.
Wei Zi Yuan from Class 5K had earlier slipped into a coma before being pronounced dead at a private hospital here at 12.15am yesterday.
