PETALING JAYA: Internships should be introduced much earlier for higher learning institutions to allow students better understanding of their field of study and what is required of them in the working world.

Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) vice-chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Noor Azlan Ghazali said most students viewed university life as just the experience of staying in campus.
