Impose taxes only on the rich, says Hadi


KUALA LUMPUR: PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang has urged the Government to use Islamic principles in imposing tax, noting that the poor should not be taxed.

In an attempt to downplay Kelantan PAS’ effort to enforce hudud in the state, Hadi said Islam was not only about championing the Islamic penal code, but also important for the economy.
