KUALA LUMPUR: The Prevention of Terrorism Bill 2015 could be another Internal Security Act with its wide and arbitrary powers of arrest, said Lawyers for Liberty (LFL).
The human rights and law reform group said it was concerned with the tabling of the Bill in Parliament yesterday, saying that reintroducing “oppressive and outdated” preventive laws would not curb militant threats in Malaysia.
