PUTRAJAYA: The proposed Prevention of Terrorism Act (POTA) to be tabled in the Dewan Rakyat next month will lead to a swift prevention of terror recruitment or attacks in the country.
Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said current laws were punitive laws but POTA was a preventive measure which would empower the police to act faster, before a terror act could occur.
