KUALA LUMPUR: Employers looking for Indonesian maids have been reminded to hire via official agencies to avoid from being duped into paying more than the official rate of RM7,800, said Deputy Human Resources Minister Datuk Ismail Abdul Muttalib.
He said those who are paying more than the rate as agreed under the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Malaysia and Indonesia in Sept 2013 have used illegal agents not recognised under the agreement.
