Sixteen men fined for trespassing state assembly building


GEORGE TOWN: The 16 men accused of trespassing onto the state assembly building last year have been fined a total of RM23,500 by a magistrate's court.

Fifteen of them were fined RM1,500 each and one received a RM1,000 fine after they pleaded guilty to a charge of criminal trespass by barging into the building in Light Street with the intention of inciting fear in state assembly secretary M. Maheswari at 1.30pm on May 21.
