EC calls on outstation voters to vote in Chempaka state by-election

KOTA BARU: The Election Commission (EC) has called on outstation voters to return and vote during the Chempaka state by-election despite an alleged campaign in the social media to prevent them from doing so.

“Do not look at who is contesting and do not submit to campaigns (conducted on the social media) not to go back to vote. Voters need to carry out their responsibility,” EC secretary Datuk Abdul Ghani Salleh said while reviewing preparations to set up the nomination centre at the Maktab Rendah Sains Mara (MRSM) in Pengkalan Chepa here yesterday.
