PETALING JAYA: After the disappearance of MH370 early last year, Tourism Malaysia decided to re-strategise its plans for Visit Malaysia Year 2014.

Anticipating a drop in tourist arrivals from China – 153 of the 239 people on board the Beijing-bound plane were from that country – the agency began focusing on other markets in its bid to hit the Government’s target of 28 million visitors for the year.
