KUCHING: The Government is allocating RM16.5mil monthly to pay cost of living allowance (Cola) to 55,000 fishermen nationwide this year, said Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri.
"When oil prices rose,... the Government made some savings from the reduction of fuel subsidies. So we returned the savings to the people, with Cola for fishermen an example," he said.
