PUTRAJAYA: The Court of Appeal has dismissed an application by the Federal Territory Islamic Religious Council (MAIWP) to be an intervener in the appeal by clerk Jill Ireland Lawrence Bill, who is seeking to use the word “Allah” as her right to practise her religion.
However, the council was allowed to hold a watching brief and submit its views, if invited by the appellate court next month.
