MALACCA: A controversy has emerged over the ruins of Rosary Chapel (Ermida de Rosario) along the Malacca River on a site first built as a church by the Portuguese in the 1500s.
Joseph Sta Maria, representative of minority ethnic communities under the state Barisan Nasional’s social service unit (Pembela), claimed the site had deliberately been neglected and the ruins had not been preserved.
