PETALING JAYA: The distribution of free Quran by the Multiracial Reverted Muslims (MRM) non-governmental organisation is not intended to convert non-Muslims, said the Malaysian Islamic Development Department (Jakim).
"To my understanding, the NGO has never forced any non-Muslim to accept the Quran. It is given to those who approach MRM with questions or are confused about Islam and its teachings," said Jakim director-general Datuk Othman Mustapha in a statement on his Facebook page.
