PETALING JAYA: MCA has urged the Sabah Education Department to enforce a policy in schools and hostels against educators and authorities proselytising to students.
This follows a recent incident where a 16-year-old student from SMK Kinarut had allegedly converted to Islam after reciting the syahadah (proclamation of Muslim faith) in school without the knowledge of her parents.
