Over 450,000 affected by water cuts in Selangor

PETALING JAYA: Over 450,000 consumers in Petaling, Hulu Langat, Kuala Langat and Sepang are expected to face unscheduled disruptions in water supply due to a reduction in treated water from the Sungai Semenyih water treatment plant.

Syabas, in a statement yesterday, said plant operator Syarikat Konsortium Abass Sdn Bhd had to reduce the supply since 8am yesterday when the ammonium and manganese content in the river water exceeded the level set by the Health Ministry.
