KUALA LUMPUR: The blanket directive by the Kota Baru Municipal Council for all businesses to close for two hours during Friday prayers should not be extended to non-Muslims, said MCA vice-president Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun.
She said if the move was meant to regulate Muslims, then it should only be imposed on the community.
