Party president refused to address problems, claims his deputy

KUALA LUMPUR: The MIC president’s refusal to address problems by meeting with relevant stakeholders, while at the same time appointing his men to key positions, are reasons why the party has plunged to its present state, claims MIC deputy president Datuk Seri Dr S. Subramaniam.

Sounding frustrated, Dr Subramaniam, who provided an exclusive audio recording to The Star from London yesterday, said there was “a string of lost opportunities” and detailed how party president Datuk Seri G. Palanivel had failed on many occasions to face frustrated party members to iron out problems.
