PETALING JAYA: Police will investigate a statement made by Penang Youth and Sports, Women, Family and Community Development Committee chairman Chong Eng that allegedly criticised the Selangor Islamic authorities for preaching to women to cover their aurat to prevent rape.
An online news portal quoted Chong as saying the Selangor Islamic Department (Jais) gave “misleading information on rape, smacks of victim-blaming and shows male bias in religious leadership”.
