KUALA LUMPUR: The rice subsidy programme, which is aimed at benefiting the lower income group, has failed to achieve its intended objectives, said Malaysia Rice Wholesalers’ Association president Ng Chee Len.
He said the 15% broken rice, which is sold at a controlled price of RM1.65 per kg, could hardly be found in the market nowadays.
