Manager returns to tsunami site

Forever grateful: Mahadev showing his wife Dawn the rock he held on to during the 2004 tsunami.

GEORGE TOWN: More than 10 years down the road, technical manager Mahadev Singh can still vividly recall every detail of the tsunami which hit Sungai Batu in Bayan Lepas.

The 42-year-old Penangite, who now resides in Scotland, said he would have lost his life when the tsunami struck on Dec 26, 2004, if not for his childhood friend Mohamad Farok Ibramsa who pulled him to safety.
