KUALA LUMPUR: In a strange twist, former MIC president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu – who is in the heart of a bitter quarrel between two factions – has offered to play mediator between the bickering sides.
Speaking to reporters at the sidelines of the 9th International Conference on Tamil Studies at Universiti Malaya yesterday, Samy Vellu said he would step in only if he receives instructions from Barisan Nasional chairman Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
