KOTA BARU: Local government elections championed by DAP continue to get flak from its coalition partner PAS.

PAS central working committee member Nik Abduh Nik Aziz said it was unfair when only DAP could champion its party policies while opposing the aspiration of PAS to implement hudud in Kelantan.

"The question now is, when PAS adopts the same attitude in Kelantan, why is it accused of flouting the agreement in Pakatan Rakyat (PR)?

"If Penang succeeds in holding local government elections, will PAS regard it as reneging on PR.

"Can the DAP accept us in Kelantan if it is like that? Act democratically bro..," he said in his latest jotting on Facebook.

PAS president Datuk Seri Hadi Awang had said that DAP's push for the elections was a mistake that could possibly lead to a repeat of the May 13 racial riots of 1969.

Hadi said the move showed that DAP was only considering the aspect of Chinese urban areas for the short-term purpose of winning a general election.
