TEMERLOH: The state government will deepen main rivers in Pahang to overcome flood disasters that frequently occur during the monsoon season.
State executive council member Datuk Syed Ibrahim Syed Ahmad said the river deepening work was expected to begin from Sungai Jelai, Sungai Tembeling and Sungai Pahang as the riverbeds were now getting shallower.
